Remote services

Instructions:

Register with the Oma Terveys 24/7 service. You can register with either your online banking or mobile ID. We use secure identification to ensure that no one but you can access your information. After registering, you can speed up the use of the service by creating a password for yourself.

1. Select Remote services from the menu.

2. Then select the appropriate service.

3. Continue to the payment page.

4. Payments are always made via credit card, online banking service or PayPal, and a receipt is sent to your e-mail.

5. You can now begin your discussion with a doctor. You will receive a reply to your question without delay.

6. In addition to messages, also pictures, video recordings or other attachments that assist with diagnosis can be sent via the service.

For the discussion, you need to have a functioning Internet connection. If, for some reason, the connection is disrupted during the discussion, contact our customer support at asiakastuki@terveystalo.com.

Remote services are available anytime and anywhere

 

When there is no need for a physical examination, you can contact a doctor or nurse via Terveystalo´s Remote services such as chat services. You will receive a reply to your question without delay. Apart from messages, you can send pictures and video files if necessary. Remote services can be accessed online at Oma Terveys web site or mobile application.

Doctor chat 24/7

The chat service is open round the clock, every day of the year. A general practitioner will respond to your question without delay. The chat service saves time and effort as you do not have to travel to see the physician. In addition to messages, also pictures, video recordings or other attachments that assist with diagnosis can be sent via the service.

The service can be used to assess the need for treatment, decide on laboratory tests and prescribe medication. It offers an excellent channel for providing treatment instructions for previously diagnosed illnesses and treatment for conditions such as allergy symptoms, urinary tract infections and dermatitis.

However, the service is not suitable for treating serious illnesses or prescribing medication such as sleep medicines, antipsychotic medication or strong painkillers.

Doctor chat 24/7 for occupational healthcare customers

The chat service offers occupational healthcare customers a handy alternative to traditional appointments for managing their health-related questions. Check with your employer whether the service is included in your occupational healthcare agreement. The chat service is open round the clock, every day of the year.

Renewal of prescriptions

The prescription renewal service provides an easy way to renew prescriptions. You can renew up to three prescriptions at a time. All you need to do is send a message specifying the prescriptions you need renewed and your doctor will contact you if further information is required.

When using the prescription renewal service, you give the doctor permission to view you information in the Kanta patient data archive and medicine database and in Terveystalo’s patient data system in order to get the information he or she needs to renew your prescription. An electronic prescription is then forwarded to a pharmacy, and you can collect your medicine from a pharmacy of your choosing. However, the service cannot be used to prescribe medication such as sleep medicines, antipsychotic medication or strong painkillers.

The service is open on weekdays at 8am-8pm. Prescription renewal service for €22, the service is not compensated by Kela.

Health checks

Know your health status - the Health Check is a new and handy way to gain information on your health. You can visit our laboratory even without a referral and then contact your doctor via our chat service to discuss the test results and any further tests or measures that may be warranted.

By logging on to the Oma Terveys 24/7 service, you can view the test results as soon as they are ready and contact your doctor to discuss them. The fee for the Health Check is paid in connection with the laboratory visit so you can initiate discussion with your doctor as soon as the results are available or at the latest within a month of the completion of the test results.

Health Check for men over 50 and for women €135.

Gynecologist chat

You can use the gynecologist chat if you have questions about, for example, hormone replacement therapy, contraceptives, control of the menstrual cycle, sexual health or infections. The gynecologist can renew prescriptions and prescribe laboratory tests through the service. If the problem requires further examinations, the gynecologist will refer you to a physical appointment. The service is not suitable for treating serious illnesses or prescribing sleep medicines, antipsychotic medication or strong painkillers.

The gynecologist chat is open on Tuesdays between noon and 2 pm, Wednesdays between 6 and 8 pm and Thursdays between 1 and 2 pm and between 8 and 10 pm.

 The price of the service is 60 euros per chat.

Gynecologist chat is closed in July.

Nurse chat 24/7

Through the nurse chat, you can get help and advice in questions related to, for example, sudden respiratory diseases, stomach ailments, allergy symptoms and vaccinations. The nurse assesses the need for treatment and gives you instructions for how to handle the problem at home or refers you to the correct specialist or to the doctor chat if the symptoms require the attention of a doctor. Nurse chat service cannot be used for prescription.

The nurse chat is open  round the clock, every day of the year. The price of the service is 12 euros per chat.
